Would a calla lilly bouquet or a white rose bouquet be cheapest?

Both ideas are very beautiful!





Different flowers (roses included) do well at different times of the year since they naturally grow at different times of the year. The pricing of those flowers will go up during the time when they are not as abundant.





Out of it's natural season, growers will use greenhouses to "force" blooms. While not different from those grown in a natural environment, they often don't last as long or hold up as well.





Check with a couple of florists. What time of year is the wedding? What types of flowers are readily available in that season? Choosing a flower of the season will mean a lower cost.

Reply:I think calla lilly cause they are bigger you need less of them but something to consider is even white carnations they are the cheapest and cause they are so big and full you only need a dozen or so for it to look nice.Check this site out this is what i used for my wedding flowers so easy and great priced!!
Reply:in my hometown in indiana they are about the same price with the lilly a few dollars more per stem.





i am not a fan of calla lillies myself. i dont think they look that romantic to me. i totally love roses in all colors and styles.





check out a rose book at your local flower shop and you would be surprised (even in white) the different shades available and different types of roses.

Reply:It depends on the florist. Sometimes a bouquet which seems Pricey will cost MUCH less if purchased online or at a costco . Some costco stores even have in house florists who will design bouquets for you but you have to ask this isn't a service that they really advertise... also you can order a white rose bouquet online at costco... Again it really depends on the florist... call around...

Reply:Calla Lilly, I asked my florist about a White Rose bouqet with around 30 roses she said if you want it cheaper take out the many roses and put in Lillies and thats what ive done.





If i had, had the Rose Bouqet it would have been around £70.00 but its now gone down to £40.00!!! Big difference

Personally I would go for the white roses. Every one likes roses.
