Calla lily bouquet how do I make fresh cut lillies stand up and open in a vase?

once you have the calla lilies home you'll need wire to make them stand tall in the vase. first decide how tall you want the flower to stand, next cut wires about 2 inches shorter than that. then make a fresh cut at the end of the stem. you'll notice the stem of the lily is hollow. carefully push the wire up through the stem and try to feel it stick in the bottom of the flower. it's as easy as that . the flower will open when it's ready and not a minute sooner.

Callas will last in water for weeks if you keep the end of the stem trimmed every few days or when it becomes mushy. The stems are easily pliable and can be hand shaped to the desired curve or straightness.
