Has anyone had a white only wedding bouquet and did it look ok in photos?

I would love a posey of white roses but I'm afraid that they won't stand out in the photos. Any help?

Has anyone had a white only wedding bouquet and did it look ok in photos?
My fiance's cousin had an all white bouquet and it was beautiful. I dont thinka bouquet needs to stand out TOO much because the focus should be on the couple. When wedding bouquets are too big or too show-ey then the bride goes into the background. I agree with the other poster that you should look into textures. How about added some white daisys or a flower with a bell-shaped petal. I am not a big fan of baby's breath so I would ask about a flourist for some alternatives to that.

Reguardless you will be glowing no matter what shade of bouquet you have. :)
Reply:Well, I've never known anyone who had one but you can do a google search and there are some lovely photos.

The trick, I think, is different textures. White roses sounds lovely, but perhaps throw some babies breath in? Also, chances are some green will show through, unless you have no leaves and wrap the stems up in white ribbon or something. The tiny touch of green will help set it off.
Reply:I had an all white bouquet and it looked gorgeous in the pictures too. One color is an elegant look.

Reply:If your dress is pure white, be careful that the flowers do not just blend into the background.

Have a great wedding
Reply:you wont be holding them all day so it won't be a problem, the latest cameras can pick up detail in the all the highlights and subtle tones. Dress them with a coloured ribbon.
Reply:I did and i lo ved them in my pics

Reply:hi there

im a wedding photographer and there isnt a problem with the white flowers ive been to many weddings the common one seems to be lillies etc usually the green stems etc do offer some contrast and also if your having a fancy dress i would say to keep they other bits simple so that they dont distract attention at the end of the day no one will be looking at the flowers when you look so beautiful ;)
Reply:I plan on having all white tulips for my wedding and the bridesmaid to be hydrangeas. I think it will look very pretty and will look great in pictures. Congradulations.
Reply:Mine were all white and the florist said the same thing - that they wouldn't stand out - so he suggested adding greenery and some blue delphinium to the bouquet to make it stand out more (the girls were in blue). I have to admit the florist was right and without the blue I don't think the bouquet would have looked as nice.
Reply:I have photographed a few weddings where the brides had all white flowers and it wasnt a problem at all if the bride wore white because even a very white flower will still be darker than a white dress and will stand out. The only time I did have a problem was when the bride had an ivory/cream dress and the flowers blended in but I fixed it anyways in photoshop and it came out lovely. So i say go for it!
Reply:Depends on where the wedding is help. If your going to have a lot of greenery or other colors then it will stand out. But if you have a lot of white in other parts of your wedding not so much....

Though you can always spice it up with other "sides" like babys breath etc. ( a flourist would know more of them).

Good luck!

Reply:I've heard of off-white(ivory) but not all white bouquet ,it would look nice if you had a unique color wedding dress, but if you have a white dress it wouldn't look good cause you want your bouquet to stand out not for it to be not noticeable. You want something to stand-out.
