Any alternatives to the usual bouquet & garter throwing?

I'd like my guests to feel that ours was a one of a kind wedding, not just some wedding.

Any alternatives to the usual bouquet %26amp; garter throwing?
My grandparents have all passed away, so when my brother got married and didn't want to do the usual "toss" they presented the brides grandparents with the bouquet and garter. (they had been married for 65 years at the time) In a time where divorce is so common, it was nice to see these two 80ish people who had been married so long, "swaying" on the dance floor to "Remember When". My dad is an over the road truck driver, he and mom have been married for 35 years, so at my wedding next year, we are suprising them with the garter and bouquet. Their song will be "When I need you" by Leo Sayer. I know it's your day, but, it's unique and to me it signifies hope and celebrates the joy of being married with those responsible for bringing you into this world.
Reply:Instead of a bouquet, my niece threw a little fabric bag with chocolate kisses in it.
Reply:Well, my husband threw out his little black book(s) to the men....that was hilarious! I kept my bouquet, and I threw a hanky out with a charm within it, the woman who caught it was married last year.
Reply:My wife and I just skipped it (garter and bouquet) altogether. She is very shy and the thought of me pulling off a garter in front of everyone made her want to die.

We were also older than most brides and grooms and all of our friends were already married. The only people who would have been on the receiving end of the bouquet would have been the ten year old flower girl and an eighty year old widow.
