Can an engaged woman still try to catch the bouquet at a wedding?

Thats an ******** thing to do

Can an engaged woman still try to catch the bouquet at a wedding?
OH well... after reading this I didn't even think about this before and I have been engaged for a year and I have been to about 5 wedding since then and I have been up to catch the bouquet! I didnt' even think about not going. So I guess in my opinion I think it is ok!!! You aren't married until you say "I Do".
Reply:Stay out of it.
Reply:The engaged woman should not try. She is already spoken for and committed. The purpose of the bouquet is to see who will be the next to become engaged or spoken for! For the sake of all in fun, the engaged woman should cheer for her single friends from the sidelines. :)
Reply:Technically, she is still single, but practically - it's not very nice; give someone else a chance.
Reply:of course you can catch the wedding bouquet. who knows if the engagement will lead to marriage.
Reply:Of course, in fact you are saving all of the other girls the embarrassment of having to marry someone they don't know.
Reply:i would catch it what the heck i am not married yet
Reply:Well its really supposed to be for unattached women but I guess if you want to piss your boyfriend off and look as stupid as your question, then sure, go for it. Too bad I can't be there to watch.
Reply:no cause you are "on your way" to the alter. That would be sort of a slap in th face to your fiance and just stupid
Reply:You are already betrothed....spoken for...have a fiance.

This is a a fun ritual for the single ladies.
Reply:Nope. You've already committed yourself to someone, so there is no reason to be posing as a single woman now.
Reply:No
Reply:Technically, she is still single. Plus, it's fun to get out there and (playfully) elbow the other ladies in attempt to get that pretty, sweet smelling bouquet. So why not?! I don't think people need to take it so seriously.
Reply:Certainly. Because it can also just mean good luck, and it's a nice memento to have of the day.

It is not traditionally done I believe- but if she's a close friend or relative I would include her. You'd hate to leave her out!
Reply:yes because she is not married
Reply:Not its only for single women.
Reply:yes. At my best friends wedding i was engaged and she told me to go on out there. Your not married yet. The tradition is to find the next to get married.
Reply:Well yeah I mean it's not like a real thing. Unless you believe that superstition then by all means don't do it. But if it's just for fun then why not. Isn't just to show who is getting married next? You're engaged so it's pretty obvious you will be next so you're not married yet so it doesn't matter. It's just for fun. That's why all the little kids go out there and do it.
Reply:Good question but I would think the answer is no. Your engaged and already have a good chance of being married. The bouquet toss is for the ones who don't have a special guy to hook up with.
