What is the official term is for the "doiley" type thing that goes around the stem of a brides bouquet?

You can just ask your florist to wrap a beautiful ribbon that matches your colour sceme.

The lace doiley is just that...a doiley. I really neat idea but you can use embroidered hankies in place of it if you can't find a lace doiley.

Most of your "shabby chic" stores carry such things unless you happen to have an antique mall around, but then they usually want more money for them.

Another idea you might want to use is take that elastic bead thread the kids use to make friendship bacelets and string gold or pearl beads on it. It will help hold the hankie or doiley around the stem.
Reply:i aint got a clue all i know is that doileys remind me of my dear old nan and the arm covers of her sofas....
