For my throw away bouquet I want to have a candy bouquet - any suggestions?

I am having a wedding around halloween. I want the person who catches it to actually be able to use it, instead of tossing the flowers a day later. I also need something that obviously won't hurt anyone when it is thrown

For my throw away bouquet I want to have a candy bouquet - any suggestions?
mix and match twizzlers or other licorice with small suckers. this way you have the strengh of the stick of the sucker but softness of the licorice. you could also include those really long pieces of laffy taffy. cute idea! i think it's fantastic and shows great originality. i agree, who wants flowers that you will throw out that evening or the next day.
Reply:I would us laffy taffy in the real long pieces.I'd also use those real tiny jaw breakers that come in the rope packages.along with those real long pieces of red lickerish.good luck
Reply:I really think that was a very creative idea that you came up with! I dont think I have ever heard that one before. Few things though-if you have candy, make sure it is wrapped. no one can enjoy the candy if it lands on the floor and it is unwrapped. How about tying up a few pieces of candy Such as gummy bears, candy corns, small hershey treasures or kisses in pearl colored wrap around a sucker. Make a few bunches of those and tie them in a bouquet. When you toss it, each individual bunch should break off to share with everyone. That way, not only one person an enjoy it!
Reply:As you stated, you don't want to knock someone out with the bouquet! I personally think it's a clever idea.

You could make those Hershey Kiss roses and make a bouquet. Do them in orange %26amp;/or black or in a variety of colors. It doesn't have to be very big. What woman doesn't like chocolate??!
Reply:This is something that would work if you are having an infromal wedding, but really, if it's a church affair with a classy reception later, the idea of a candy bouquet is kind of tacky. Also, if you're 18 and getting married in someone's backyard, fine, but if you're older, show a little maturity and class and go with flowers (or try a preserved dried flower arrangement that can be kept by the catcher).
Reply:that is a gr8 idea, ive just shared this with my daughter who is gettting married soon! thanks for the idea!
Reply:Chocolate roses arranged in a bouquet.

Also, theer are many florists that do candy bouquets as well.
Reply:You could do a small one with blowpops in the middle and put fake flowers around it.... like padding. Unless you throw like a football player.. I don't think anyone will get hurt... most women fight over it!!
Reply:Such a cool idea! I would do an array of classic plastic wrapped candies, like lemon drops or Werther's, and put them in loosely. That way, when the bouquet is tossed, and the ladies scramble for it, some candies will be knocked loose and any children who might be there can run out and pick it up!
