Good lord. Your reception lasts longer than a regal feast.

If you want all your guests to be present for the cake, please plan to cut it at 8PM. Most people will be ready for their dessert as soon as dinner is over, and they'll be past ready to go home - dessert or not - by 9PM.

I don't know when the wedding starts, but if you're asking them to have cocktails from 4:30, even assuming they skipped the ceremony, they've got a long evening ahead.

Maybe you're contemplating a 12-hour wedding day - bully for you I guess, the first day of your starter marriage is going to be a doozy - but you must not expect your guests to book a babysitter for an 8-hour marathon.
Reply:you don't even need to worry about that. the DJ will keep track of when everything shoudl happen, and he will announce it when it's time.

8 - first dance, other formal dances, then open dance

10:30 - bouquet/garter toss just as you take the break for late lunch
Reply:cake cutting should be about an hour after dinner is done

bouquet and garter toss can be about an hour after that

that's how we are doing ours.
Reply:Try and do the bouquet/garter before everyone is too drunk to see straight. After a few dances is a good time.
Reply:Sunny is just the DJ should take care of that.

You dont want to stop people from dancing and having fun to meet your time line. The Dj will pick a good time.
