How important is it to you to catch the bridal bouquet or the garter belt? Would you step aside to let a 50+?
Not important. It's just a fun thing. Now, for that 50+ person, the feeling may be desperate, so you should be CAREFUL.
Reply:I personally HATE catching the bouquet and will hide in the bathroom until that ridiculous, demoralizing part of the reception is over. If an older person wanted it that bad, sure I'd let them get it, but too many times I have seen some desperate young skank wrestle to the ground whomever did catch it, and steal it from them. I wouldn't want that to happen to an older person; their body might not bounce back as easily from the beating.
Reply:I guess it depends on the person. If they are obnoxious about it, then no. If you know it would really make their day, then definitely.
Reply:Any 50+ person who is single and wants to get married is an idiot. Kick them aside and go for the gold.
