How do I make a bouquet for a wedding rehearsal?

I am the maid of honor at an upcoming wedding and I was told that we are supposed to keep the bows and ribbons from the bridal shower to make a bouquet to use at the rehearsal. I kept the bows but I'm at a loss for ideas. Are there any websites for tips on this?

Do something simple. Don't go overboard with bows and ribbons....make sure to put the actual bows on top as the head of the bouquet, while the ribbons flow downwards tied behind the bows....color coordinate too! (ex. don't put a patch of blue bows, and the one red one, etc)

Reply:You can buy the whie plastic bouquet rings with the handle attached that have the soft foam inside and glue the bows onto the green flower sticks into the foam, or glue them onto the bouquet ring. Look in the florist or wedding aisle of a hobby store.
Reply:Most take a paper plates and stick the ribbons and bows onto the top of the plate. Then you'll need to take another plate and shape it into a cone, for the bride to hold on to. Then hot glue it to the bottom and presto!! Instant ribbon bouquet.
Reply:you punch holes into a paper plate and put the backs of the bows through the plate, or i suppose you could also tape them on really well.
Reply:Use a small paper plate and stick all the bows on that. Attach something for the bride to hold it with.
Reply:for something different you dont have to use a paper plate. My MOH used an actual bouquet holder (plastic about $5 at the craft store), she attached long pieces of floral wire (kind of sewing them together) to each bow and then tied them into the holder to make the actual bouquet, then took the fancy ribbons, pearl strands, flower ornamentations etc and weaved them through the bows and created a sort of long spray hanging down. It was beautiful and I still have it. My daughters play with it all the time, its a great keepsake!

Reply:You can glue/tape the bows and ribbon onto a paper plate, roll another paper plate staple to the original paper plate to make a handle, or you can secure a paint stirrer to the plate for a handle.
Reply:I can't find a great website. But I was the MOH in a friend's wedding last summer. And this is how we did it. I took a large size paper plate and punched a hole in the center. Then I took a few larger size bows and centered them while pulling the ends through (so the bride has something to hold). Then fill in around the edges with smaller bows. We had some many bows that we had enough to make smaller bouquets (dessert sized plates).

Reply:Its not that big of a deal...it's just a rehersal boquet. Cut out a round piece of cardboard, cut out a cardboard handle. glue the handle on and start gluing ribbons and bows to the cardboard.





It is more so the bride can practice how to hold her hands and when to give the boquet to someone than actually having to serve a real purpose.
Reply:I made one recently. I went to the dollar store and bought a large silk rose. I tied %26amp; stapled all of the ribbons and bows to the rose %26amp; stem. That way there was something for her to hold onto with all of the ribbons.
